Mini-ITX Darpa Challenger

By

Reading time 1 minute

Some of the designs for next year’s DARPA Grand Challenge are starting to pop up, as teams show off their entries into the contest to build completely autonomous vehicles. This go-kart sized unit is built by two kids called “The Prodigies,” and is computationally powered by a Via EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard (Via happens to be the team’s sponsor).

Last year’s Grand Challenge contenders were all sort of retarded (they all failed to complete the course), but if you want to inspect The Prodigies’ robo-buggy for yourself, they’ll be showing it off at Robonexus 2004 in Santa Clara, California, starting October 21st.
