Dan’s Data reviews the Mobiblu DAH-220 in another typically enjoyable meander, covering the ins and outs of the aluminum-cased MP3 player that just happens to be built like an audio cassette. It’s not a new device, but it’s filled with tricks, and I can’t get enough information about it (although strangely, I have refrained from making an actual purchase). It’s not just that it plays music through the electromagnetic tape-simulation heads, but that it does so much more, like skipping forward and backward when you press the buttons on your tape deck, using a built-in set of sensors that keep track of how fast the tape player is actually turning the gears.
