Mike Langberg of the San Jose Mercury News takes on MobiTV, the new live television service for cellphones that is available for some Sprint customers.
While Langberg thinks MobiTV has a chance — and let’s face it, it’s not like there is a whole lot of competition — I will plot a more conservative tack and say that these services in current form will not be very successful in 2004, but will be a huge smash in 2029, when real 3G (high-bandwidth mobile) service is successfully implemented in the States.
