I think we all saw this coming — but the official word on the fate of Bryan Fuller’s Mockingbird Lane is not good. NBC has officially passed on the show, forever.

Fuller’s Munsters remake appeared as a Halloween special, with the hope that it could still launch into a full-fledged TV series if the ratings were stellar enough. Starring Jerry O’Connell, Portia de Rossi, and Eddie Izzard, the series was a wonderful blend of morbid mockery. But today Fuller tweeted the sad fate of his show:

I tweet with a heavy heart. NBC not moving forward with #MockingbirdLane. From producers and cast, thank you all for enthusiasm and support.

Sad news — but hopefully, this frees up Fuller to focus on a Pushing Daisies Broadway Musical.
