More HP Smartphones on the Horizon

I’m not confident in the future of traditional PDAs, so when I see news that HP is continuing to expand their smartphone/PDA hybrid lines, it makes perfect sense to me. The new HP Mobile Messenger hx6500 is certainly a step in the right direction, but the boneheaded lack of Wi-Fi (and the seriously junky-trunk form factor) didn’t quite do it for me. Now there’s word that HP is going to continue to add to their cellular-equipped PDA line, with an update of the underpowered 6315 called the 6320 (hopefully with a faster, Skype-capable processor), as well as the hx6700, essentially the same unit as the Mobile Messenger 6500, except this time sacrificing the SD/IO slot for Wi-Fi (and using miniSD for storage). If the 6700 manages all that, I’ll buy one instantly, even if I have to carry it in a bag instead of my pocket.
