Good lord, Motorola dropped a whole boatload of phones last night. I don’t think it makes sense for us to into every last detail about them today, but there are some interesting overarching qualities, like the fact that they’re all clamshell and the fact that they all have Bluetooth. The sexiest is clearly the V620, as it is both an update to the popular V600, but it also is the one with the biggest number. It has a better screen (262k color) than the V600 and a claimed better battery life. And it’s now black instead of chrome.
Most of the rest of the phones are carrier-specific models and not terribly notable. It’s common for phone manufacturers to build series of phones that are essentially the same, with minor tweaks and restrictions to please each carrier, as well as provide them an “exclusive” model.
None of the new phones have higher than a VGA-resolution camera. That is for sucks.
