None other than Motorola’s CEO and President Ed Zander proclaims that Motorola’s Q is launching next week. The smartphone is being released on EVDO, which means Verizon and Sprint will get it first, the GSM UMTS and possibly HSDPA version should roll out sometime later this year.
After suffering delays, the Q will go up against Nokia’s E61, the Treo 700p and 700w, and all the BlackBerry devices. It will compete against all sorts of Windows Mobile phones that are purchasable over the internet from overseas.
