There's a lot more to a show like CTIA than just new phones. In fact, with the relative lack of new hardware being shown, services tend to get more attention than they might otherwise. Motorola's SCREEN3 service got a little love as part of the V551 handset launch, but it's going to be moved out to other Motorola phones in the future. The gimmick is simple: configure news, entertainment, weather and other content to be 'pushed' to your phone's display, like a SPOT watch or a television turned to CNN, then click a button to find out more if it interests you. Revolutionary it's not, but it's easy and potentially useful, which is a lot more than you can say about streaming video soap opera clips.

Of course, I have no idea how it works, how much it will cost, and what carriers the service will be provided on, so let's take this a day at a time.
