DAPreview has information on the three newest mobile players from Mpio, including the HD-400, a 5GB/8GB player with support for Microsoft’s all-you-can-eat Janus DRM. They’ve also confirmed the Mpio “1” with an extra-large 1.8-inch color screen (extra-large for a flash player, that is). There’s also the Mpio HD-500, a full-sized 40GB player with a iRiver/Creative-type vertical scroll pad. All in all it looks fine, especially with USB OTG and OGG Vorbis support across the line.
DAPreview’s been doing a good job digging up these more obscure music players lately. It’s cool to see a seemingly niche segment break off into its own community sites and really take bloom. Speaking of, if you’re an established community site that we’ve neglected in our Gizmodo Guide to the Web, let me know and I’ll be happy to reenter you if you’re a good fit.
