Following iTunes Music Store’s push into Europe, Microsoft is expanding its MSN Music Store to eight new countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. That’s good news if you’re into the MSN Music Store, I guess, although between you and me, the Windows Media stuff that I find really exciting is the all-you-can-eat Janus stuff from people like Napster on devices like the new Gateway Music Player. I’ve just about had it with DRM’d music files, after losing about $30 of iTunes music that just refuses to authorize on this computer (in fairness, I used Hymn to strip the DRM, which worked for a while, but now iTunes apparently won’t recognize the files no matter what).
