Navman iCN 635: First GPS with Elevation Data

By

Reading time 1 minute

Hey, what’s “POI alert” on GPSes? Oh, is that Points of Interest? Why would that be “Big in Europe?” These French jokes are hard.

Why do I ask? Well, apparently I go to French GPS sites to get information about Navman USA’s newly announced iCN 635, a new handheld GPS (global position system, hello) that includes a map display option of elevation data — reportedly the first GPS unit to do so. That’s pretty hot, actually. I can think of at least one Perl munging, Arrogant Bastard Ale swilling, rock-climbing geek that will get him self in a (b)lather over this one. (Thanks, Guillaume!)
