Viewers who want to get their midnight Netflix scroll on will have to shell out $6.99 per month to access Netflix’s Basics With Ads. That price point puts it right up against, or slightly lower than other competing streamers. On the lower end, Peacock, Discovery+ and Paramount+ all offer ad supported tiers starting at $4.99 per month. Hulu’s ad supported-tiers are slightly higher at $7.99 per month, and HBO Max—viewed by many as a more premium product—offers its ad supported tier for $9.99. Disney’s soon to launch ad supported “Basic” tier for Disney+, on the other hand, will reportedly cost $7.99 per month.
