NFL on iPod

Reading time 1 minute

In what is certain to be a coup for both Apple and Audible, the National Football League has announced a plan to provide this season’s playoff games in downloadable, purchasable form for use on the iPod. Each game isn’t cheap—$10 a pop—but customers will be able to select games hosted by local sportscasters to provide that authentic ‘listening to broadcast radio on the subway’ feel. Highlights of the game will be available for a as-yet-unset lesser price. It’s just like a podcast, except the idiots talking are actually taking your money.
