Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Price Drop; Maybe DS, Too

By

Reading time 1 minute

GamesIndustry.Biz is reporting that Nintendo will drop the price of their Game Boy Advance SP to $80 in anticipation of the November launch of the upcoming Nintendo DS. (I wonder if that will include the remaining Special NES Edition models. Hrm.) Even more interesting is US retailer chatter that the DS may launch for $150 instead of $175, as Nintendo has previously stated. Unfortunately, while the SP price drop looks fairly certain, the DS drop might just be wishful thinking.

No word on European price cuts yet, but if the US gets a drop you can expect prices to (eventually) follow elsewhere.
