So I wasted way too much time this morning looking for a better picture of these Oakley “Thump” MP3 Sunglasses, but so far it looks like they exist soley in press release hell. They are official now, though, which is something, although at $400 for a 128MB version and $500 for a 256MB version, I seriously doubt many people are going to be interested in owning a pair. Perhaps when they inevitably drop to discount prices. There is also a rumor that another model may be introduced incorporating Bluetooth and a microphone in the nosebridge, but current prototypes have been too unwieldy.
The Thumps should be in Circuit Cities by the holidays. Of course, if anyone finds a better picture than the one we ran yesterday, let me know. (Thanks everyone who sent this in.)
