Olympus is tearing up the press release bin today, this time announcing their ‘Easy Imaging System’. This system, long overdue in my opinion, is a portable digital photography lab, complete with 4 mexapixel camera [IR-500, pictured], high quality photo printer [P-S100], 40GB hard drive [S-HD-100] and eventually, a DVD burner to top it all off. The days of digital dabblers carting around laptops and having to wait for prints can be said to be over, albeit at a price point painfully near the $1,000 mark (half of which is the camera).
It would be nice to sort of see the whole package, though. I have in my mind this image of interlocking gadgets that form an easily-packable whole, like the Insecticons, but I have a feeling it’s probably just a bunch of similarly-designed units that compliment each other in function.

Update: I have been informed the Insecticons did not assemble into another, larger robot. I humbly submit in their stead the Constructicons, Voltron, or the cast of Mamma’s Family. (Thanks, Jack!)
