Olympus m:robe MR-500i

Olympus Imaging Corporation, manufacturers of fine cameras since 4,000 B.C., have announced a new line of products that have little to do with cameras or imaging. The MR-100 and MR-500i are both hard drive-based players, with the 500i being the feature honey: 20 gigs of storage for images and music, and a 3.7-inch VGA screen—touch it—tenderly—to take pics with the built-in camera. It’s also got some kind of software which allows you to ‘remix’ your images, ‘fusing’ them with your digital music, but what this actually does isn’t entirely clear. Like most interesting products, these will only be available in the Japanese market for the foreseeable future, but we sincerely hope they consider bringing these over.
