We noticed that in last night’s OSX update (10.3.4, I believe) that Apple finally fixed the silly hangup for the iPod that prevented the USB 2.0 connection from working with iTunes and iSync. Now both charging and syncing should work just as well as with Firewire, at roughly the same speeds. Good news for those that only have one 1394 port and want to use another external device on that port. (Thanks, Matthew!)
