Otter Box has launched a new case for the iPod mini, which probably wouldn’t be notable in and of itself, but they’ve made some design changes that I hope to see applied across the product line. Not only is the new case clear (letting you show off your colors), but it incorporates a new headphone jack design that allows you to use any headphone you like via a pass-through. Plus the new design means that the Otter Box for the iPod mini is more than just ‘water resistant’—it can now survive plunges into water up to 15 10 feet in depth. All that protection isn’t cheap, though, at $50, so make sure it fits your x-trem lifestyle.
