Pantech has announced a new cameraphone for the Korean markets called the PH-K1500, which looks more like a camera than a phone—the 2.1-megapixel CCD doesn’t hurt. One thing I don’t understand, though, is how it is listed as having ‘autofocus,’ but yet doesn’t have an optical zoom. If the sensor itself is solid state, how does that work? Anyway, like most Pantech phones, this puppy isn’t coming Stateside, although unlike most Japanese phones it does use CDMA 2000 1X, so you could probably import it if you liked.
