Somebody was asking me the other day what the best portable DVD player was and I wasn’t able to give them a definite answer. They need to ask me again—this no-brand 4-in-1 model is clearly the best one available, at least judged by features. Not only can it do all the regular DVD player stuff (although I wish it had a native DVD pixel resolution screen) but the thing plays NES games. I’m sure they claim that the included CD of ROMs are just cloned, but I wouldn’t be surprised to open that up and find a disc with R/C Pro Am and Kid Icarus. They even bundle a couple of cheapo USB controllers.
I want to try it badly, but not for $575 plus import costs. I bet we’ll see it in gray market shops for half that within a year, though. Then: SNES models! Anybody have one of these? Does it work?
