I’ve started writing a column for Laptop called The Portable Pundit (I’m going to be the next Dvorak! Or at least huff ether!) The first column is online, called ‘Portable Media Blunder?’ In it I posit that Microsoft is trying to pull a fast one with its Portable Media Centers, pushing the devices without a clear, legal way to get content on board for those without a Microsoft Media Center PC.
It’s some of my first tangling with something longer than five sentences. Just think of it as being that much more material to find fault with! And I don’t know if Laptop really wants to hear feedback about it or not, but they’ve got a handy comment feedback form, so if you think I’m way off base—or, unlikely, on target—let them know.
Also, good God, that picture makes me look like I’m balancing myself by my nose.
