Even with a super fast RAID10 setup you would never achieve 10Gbps.

I just don't get it. We haven't fully realized 5Gbps yet alone 10. And at least USB 3 is a BC port.

So you connect this to your computer. How fast do you think your simple drives can read data out to this? How fast do you think your machine can process information and send out to this?

I could maybe see the point of thunderbolt for other uses but when it comes to storage....total waste.

Destination speed is only as good as source speed.
