PURE Digital’s newest DAB radio (the kind we can’t use here in the US) is talk radio all the time, even if you want to listen to music. The SONUS-1XT uses a built-in voice interface to give audible labels to all controls, which might not be that useful for most, but will be welcomed by those hard of sight or wakefulness. Another useful trick is its ability to program sleep settings to automatically turn off the radio after a set amount of time, then wake you up with the radio in the morning—you can even pick two different stations.
