Our new brother site Kotaku has information about a new home arcade cabinet called the “Quasimoto,” a three-flavor cabinet that not only plays PC games—presumably for something like retro-gaming emulator MAME—but also for Xbox, Playstation 2, and Gamecube. Matt brings up a good question: why would we want to play home console games standing up on a 27-inch screen when we could just as easily ease back into the feathery pile of Dorito-leavings that double as our couches? I suppose there is a certain nostalgic overtone that comes from playing fighting games and the like on a cabinet, but who wants to spend hours and hours standing up while trying to beat an RPG or something?
