The Quark claims to the world’s “highest performance classic spinning top in the world.” That means it’ll spin for a long, long time—up to 15 minutes a twirl, they say. Manufacturer Quirkle will even include a laser pointer with each purchase to aid in “precision dynamic balancing,” as well as a glass spinning surface (aka “a mirror”) and attractive wood leveling shims (aka “wedges”). Prices range from just $50 for a brass version up to $2,500 for a 14k gold model. There is also an extra geeky tungsten model for just $150. No word yet if there will be a gold-pressed latinum version of the Quark.
