Here’s an odd ride: the Rhoades Car, a two-seater, four-wheel bike (quad?) that can be pedaled by one or both passengers to power through 36 hill-climbing gears. The company also makes four-seater and more ruggedized versions—you can even get a model powered by a pedal-electric hybrid motor. Accessories abound, with canopies, fenders, lights, and yes—chrome wheels.
