Rio Japan Wireless Speakers

By

Reading time 1 minute

I think we can all get with wireless connections to our speakers from our portable music players—it’s mostly pointless, but potentially handy, what with the ability to switch songs around from your pocket (I tried this for a while with an iPod and an iTrip, until I found myself virtually tethered, always turning to get the best transmission, which sort of defeats the purpose). So these new speakers from Rio Japan are a fine idea, even if the dongle that is designed to plug into the Rio Carbon is almost as big as the player itself. The reflector on the top of the speakers, with the Rio logo silk-screened onto it to float in the air… that’s a bit much, really. But wireless is good—this $400 speaker set will surely make some Rio fan very happy.
