The Roborock Q7 M5+ is a mid-tier robot vacuum and mop combo with a self-emptying dock that stores up to 9 weeks of debris in a sealed bag. Suction reaches 10,000 Pa HyperForce, pulling debris out of carpet fibers and hard floors, and PreciSense LiDAR builds a floor plan on the first cleaning pass. PreciSense LiDAR is Roborock’s version of spinning-laser navigation on higher-end robots, turning the Q7 M5+ into a mapping robot rather than a random bumper. A sensor on top of the robot scans 360 degrees as it moves, building a detailed floor plan that appears in the Roborock app. Once mapped, the robot can clean specific rooms on demand or on a schedule. Multi-level mapping also saves up to four separate floor plans for houses with basements or upstairs bedrooms.
HyperForce Suction at 10,000 Pa is on the high end of the mid-tier category, enough to pull embedded pet hair out of carpet fibers. The Q7 M5+ automatically boosts suction when it detects a carpet transition from hard floors and drops back down on tile or hardwood to save battery. A dual anti-tangle system on the main roller and side brush resists long-hair wraps that would tangle a standard brush setup, making it useful for households with long-haired pets.
Mopping is done with a detachable pad and water tank that clips onto the bottom when you switch from vacuum-only to combined cleaning. The water tank capacity is 0.37 quarts, enough for a typical apartment or a single-floor cleaning session. Flow settings include three levels: low for wood, medium for tile, and high for stubborn kitchen stains. The Q7 M5+ vacuums and mops in the same pass rather than making two separate trips across the floor.
RockDock Plus is the auto-empty station included in the M5+ bundle, which removes debris from the internal dustbin into a 2.7-liter sealed bag inside the base. The bag holds up to 9 weeks of dirt before you need to swap it, based on typical single-household use with Roborock’s testing. When the robot finishes a cleaning session, it returns to the dock, empties itself, and starts recharging automatically. Off-peak charging in the app also schedules the recharge for lower-cost electricity hours overnight.
