Roku Labs has a new SoundBridge streaming media player called the M500, to be sold exclusively at Radio Shack (‘Making a token gesture towards our original mission since 1987’) until the end of the year. The M500 can do most everything its larger siblings can, including streaming WMA (included restricted), AAC (not restricted), and MP3 over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
If you’ve already got a Roku, it’s not reason to upgrade, but the small size is nice for new customers. Of course, you’d have to step inside a Radio Shack. Internet wins again!
