Space exploration is for suckers and Russians. Understanding this, Robotus have repurposed their would-be Mars bot into a potential high tech guard dog called something like 'Big Black Rolling Ball' (they didn't actually get around to naming it, it would seem).

At least the design is hot. At around two feet in diameter and weighing less than your average useless shitzu, the BBRB can reach speeds of of twenty mph, or faster than your tresspassing ass can get off my lawn. It moves via an internal pendulum that shifts its center of gravity, allowing it to take turns and gain speed easily. With an array of cameras, microphones, heat, motion, and smoke dectors built in and the ability to move over sand, snow, mud or water, the BBRB can pursue burglars and alert security forces to unwanted presence.

Robotus admit to being at a bit of an impasse when it comes to things like stairs, though, and thank God for that. Cat burglars in wheelchairs, however, are screwed.
