Safari – The First Step is Admitting You Have a Problem

I got a bit angry at Safari a few days ago, I’ll admit that, but it was warranted. I’ve installed SafariStand, which is kind of a “crash protection” thing for Safari, and I’m back to using her on a daily basis. So far so good. However, it’s good to see that some folks are checking out the major issues with what is an otherwise excellent browser.

I like OS X, I really do. It’s one of the most elegant and powerful operating systems I’ve ever used. But we have to stop being enablers. Safari is busted. It breaks for many people and it is unreliable in a pinch. I know that we all love Apple and that Steve Jobs told us, in a dream, that he made Tiger in his image, and that he will return to us on a comet, but Apple deserves criticism where it’s warranted.

Anyway, Safari and I are now on speaking terms. We can work this out. But I’m not the only one who has to change in the relationship. Don’t Flee. Don’t Fight. Flow.
