It’s about time: Samsung has announced plans for 1GB and 2GB MultimediaCards as well as what they insist is the first 1GB MMC mobile card. With higher densities and faster speeds, these cards should be able to transmit data at 52 MBytes per second, which is about 20 times quicker than older versions. No word on availability or price yet. Let’s hope they don’t rob us on this one.
