ExtremeTech got a hold of Samsung’s LT-P468W, their largest LCD television at 46 inches. It’s a doozy—I got to play around one at the Home Theater Show a few months back and was absolutely blown away—but ExtremeTech, in their much more detailed testing that my five minutes of gawking have come back with the opinion that the display, despite a ton of great features, not the least of which is the killer 1,920 by 1,024 native resolution, ends up sacrificing too much in picture quality to justify its $5,800 street price. While the colors really pop, they say, it ends up muddling up the greys and blacks far too often.
