Samsung has developed a new six-axis sensor that allows their new cell phone to detect motion, allowing users to write the numbers they are dialing or the characters they are typing in the air. The SCH-S310 will hit the market in March, they say, where it will be sure to embarrass a fair number of its users before they give up and just use the keypad in public. It’s a slick idea, though, and should appeal greatly to the LARPing/Lightning Bolt! set who long to make anything—oh Jesus, just one little, measly thing—actually happen when they wave their arms in ancient inscriptions upon the aether.
