We’ve been eyeing these wee MP3 players for quite a while now, and they just don’t seem ready for prime-time. The YP-Z5, the latest in Samsungs oft-amazing line-up, is considerably thicker than the nano and has a bright display and attractive, if derivative, styling.
The biggest problem, it seems, is with the tactile control pad. It requires a number of hard taps to get started and the tactile surface doesn’t control the volume. It does, however, have 8 unique presets and 35 hour battery life.
