Samsung SDI has taken another bold step in making cellphones even thinner with this LCD. This an LCD prototype that is .74mm thick. Samsung Electronics created a .82mm-thick LCD that was the previous record-holder and in the world of making the smallest phone possible, .08mm is like the size of an elephant. As a reference, Samsung’s Ultra Edition phones, that are supposed to hit this spring, have monstrous 1.9mm LCD screens.
