SanDisk’s got a new WiFi SDIO card coming out with 256MB of built-in storage; good news for owners of devices that only have one SD slot for upgrades (like Dell Axim X3 Sandisk is using to demo the card in the picture on the right). The only hang up is Windows Mobile 2003’s inability to address a single card for two functions at once, something that Microsoft has said they will patch in the near future. As soon as that little snag is unhooked, you can expect to see the card on the street for about $150. Oh, and Palm users are out in the cold for now, as expected drivers for dual-mode SDIO cards in PalmOS aren’t expected for several months.
