I don’t know if you guys remember these RAVEMETAL WMA/MP3 players from a while back, but there was some question as to whether they would actually launch into the market or not. Well, parent company SeaGrand (not SeaGland, as the Babel fishes) has confirmed that units up to 512MB in size will be available soon for a max price of around $270. That’s a lot of scratch for a flash player that only connects to a PC over USB 1.1, but it’s impossible for me not to have a soft spot for the player that has not only a regular miniJack headphone out, but also can be inserted into a tape deck for playback.
Oh, there’s a miniSD slot, too, so you can add more METAL as it suits you.
