Finally, a use for your Segway besides getting a little play (from other Segway riders). Matthew Chalmers has developed Seamful Game, a GPS- and Wi-Fi-based game that you play outdoors, in real, honest-to-god sunlight. Players run around town collecting digital “coins” and upload them to get point. Some coins exist outside of Wi-Fi coverage, though, and if you attempt to upload without a Wi-Fi connection, you lose all the coins you’re carrying. Other features include mines scattered around and the ability to steal coins of nearby players if they haven’t uploaded them yet. Bored kids with expensive Pocket PCs should be all over this.
