The Shark FlexFusion Ceramic Air Styler is an all-in-one hair styling system, that dries, straightens, and curls with one tool and a set of attachments. Shark calls the underlying technology FlexFusion Style-Safe, which combines powerful airflow with heat-controlled ceramic so you can take hair from wet to a straight finish without the heat damage a flat iron normally causes. Five heat settings and three speed settings cover the range, and it also has a cool shot button. Scalp Shield mode drops the temperature to protect your scalp. The whole tool weighs 1.74 pounds.

Head over to Amazon to get the Shark FlexFusion Ceramic Air Styler for just $299, down from its usual price of $400. That’s a $101 discount and 25% off.

A reliable hair tool perfect for salon-quality styles at home

Straightening your wet hair with an iron is the way most heat damage occurs, because you’re effectively boiling the water in the strand. The Fusion Air Straightener attachment uses heated ceramic plates and air to dry and straighten at the same time, so you don’t need to dry your hair and then style it. Shark claims it takes only one pass on wet hair to get wavy hair pin-straight, as measured in laboratory testing. Shark also says wet-to-dry styling causes no hot tool damage at all. Shark says wavy hair goes pin-straight in as little as one pass in wet mode, which was measured in lab conditions, and that wet-to-dry styling causes zero hot tool damage.

The same attachment works on dry hair too, so a second-day touch-up doesn’t require washing your hair first. That’s the practical difference between this and a straightener that only works on dry hair, since you’re not committing to a full wash cycle every time you want to fix something.

Scalp Shield is the mode developed with dermatologists, and turning it on immediately drops the temperature so the heat coming off the tool doesn’t hit your scalp as hard. Anyone who’s held a dryer close to the roots knows why that matters, and it’s a nice thing to have on a tool you’re using a few inches from your head.

This set includes the Fusion Air Straightener, the Fusion Brush for volume and blowouts, a set of auto-wrap curlers, and a concentrator for directing airflow exactly where you want it. The curlers are the ones people tend to ask about, and they work by using airflow to pull the hair around the barrel on their own rather than you having to wrap each section by hand.

At 1.74 pounds, the tool is light enough that your arm isn’t giving out partway through drying, which matters more than it sounds like it should when you’re holding something over your head for fifteen minutes. The Shark FlexFusion Ceramic Air Styler is $299 right now instead of $400, but the accessories are only compatible with the FlexFusion, so attachments from another Shark tool won’t fit this one.
