Just because the Western world has poo poo’d the MiniDisc doesn’t mean Japan is ready to let the dream die quite yet. Sharp has release a new MD player, the MD-DS55 Auvi, in four new colors — including staff favorite, pink. It doesn’t appear that the new players use Sony’s new Hi-MD standard — the one that uses the new 1 gigabyte MiniDiscs.
