Fast Forever may not have a script or director, after all. Matthew Rhys says not to expect more Widow’s Bay until at least 2028. Malcolm McDowell lends his voice to a legendary pumpkin in Trick and Treats. I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers… it’s Morning Spoilers!

Avengers: Doomsday
According to stuntwoman Stevie Parker’s profile on the British Stunt Register (via World of Reel), Sandra Hüller (Project Hail Mary, Digger), Katya Hazel Boirand, and Josie Pocock appear in Avengers: Doomsday in undisclosed roles, speculated to be the three “Latverian Doom Witches” revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. Parker is allegedly performing stunts for Hüller, Boirand, Pocock, and Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter.
Relatedly, Sebastian Stan told Decider he “hasn’t seen the movie” yet, but warns “it’s going to be probably heartbreaking, in a lot of ways.”
I haven’t seen the movie, and I don’t know how it turned out. I’m sure it’s going to be probably heartbreaking, in a lot of ways.
Doom Scroll
Deadline reports Jason Alexander, Josh Radnor, David Mazouz, Inbar Lavi, Betsy Brandt, and Erin Darke are attached to star in Doom Scroll, “a Passover home-invasion horror-comedy” from director Natalie Bailey. The story centers on “a family’s Passover Seder” as it’s “ambushed by intruders hungry for revenge, viral fame and power. A college student grappling with his identity must then protect his family and reckon with an ancient myth that becomes terrifyingly real.”
Shin Godzilla 2
According to the Japanese outlet Smart Flash (via Dread Central), a sequel to 2016’s Shin Godzilla plans to begin filming in Japan this November. Hiroki Hasegawa “and other principal cast members” are expected to return, alongside newcomers Tasuku Emoto (Shin Kamen Rider) and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One).
Renew
Deadline also has word filming has wrapped on Renew, a “suspense-drive horror film” starring Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi, Rachelle Goulding, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Allison Dunbar, Sam Daly, Danny Rivera, Rebecca Creskoff, Darko Ostojic, Bonnie Gayle Sparks, Barron Boedecker, and Chris Wilks. Directed by Tommy DeNucci, the story is about “a husband and wife who return to the secluded Montana guest ranch where they were married to renew their vows, hoping to leave the past behind and begin again. But when she mysteriously disappears, he is forced to confront the life he fought to escape as he uncovers a hidden evil lurking beneath the ranch’s idyllic façade.”
Fast Forever
According to a new report from TheInsneider (via World of Reel), Fast Forever allegedly has “no finished script and reportedly never had one,” despite Vin Diesel’s previous claim it had “the best” he’s “read in decades” and “made him cry.” Universal is also reportedly looking for a new director to take over from Louis Letterier, who has since moved on to other projects.
River
Bloody-Disgusting reports the slasher film River has been rated “R” for “strong bloody violence, some grisly images, and language.”
Trick and Treats
Malcolm McDowell voices a talking jack-o-lantern who teaches a young woman how to fight back against a deadly biker gang on Halloween in the trailer for Trick and Treats, co-starring Gary Busey.
Widow’s Bay
In conversation with The Direct, Matthew Rhys confirmed the second season of Widow’s Bay won’t see the light of day until 2028.
Ah, sadly, it’ll be… it’ll be 2028, because we don’t start shooting ’til April of next year. So, the writers have only just gone back into the room. I don’t think they know what happens yet, which must be terrifying. But yeah, we’ve been told we start shooting at the end of April [2027], so they better get a move on.
Daredevil: Born Again
Speaking with Screen Rant, Matthew Lillard stated he has “deep thoughts” concerning the future of his character Mr. Charles, but “it’s hard to sort of get into now”
Listen, I wish the show would go on. I have deep thoughts about Mr. Charles and where he goes, but that’s for another day. It’s hard to sort of get into now.
