Keleops is looking for a contract social media and community editor to create social media posts and engage with the brands’ communities across its three US-based titles: Gizmodo, Kotaku, and io9.
The social editor will remix daily news, features, and investigative projects for social media, while ensuring all content aligns with the brands’ voice and editorial standards. A key platform will be Instagram.
Candidates should have experience developing and designing successful static content; engaging with audiences on Bluesky, X, Facebook, Reddit, in on-site comments, and elsewhere; and collaborating with other journalists in a newsroom environment.
Ability to work independently as a freelancer, managing timelines and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
Experience creating native social content for Stories, Reels, and TikTok, including Lives is a bonus.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of editorial experience, proven video and graphic design skills, and be familiar with journalistic best practices and the topics that Gizmodo, Kotaku, and io9 cover.
