Japanese peripherals vendor Soldam has announced a new vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) that fits into a standard 5.25-inch PC case slot. Called the ‘Visualizer,’ the unit also comes with the “WiNDy Visualizer Control Center” software package, which can output CPU information, media player visualizations, and custom graphics—if you use Windows 2000 or XP. While products of this type have existed for a while, the Visualizer will come in 11 different colors, making the potential for a color-clean case much greater (or you can just sport the bright pink, which goes with anything).
