Most of us have no need for Sonance’s iPort Docking Station for iPods, but that hasn’t stopped plenty of you from sending me links about the $600 wall-mounted unit for months now. It is a neat idea, and I have to admit to coming up with a few scenarios where I might use one while reading through iPodlounge’s review. Personally, I think Sonos is a better option for most people than a $600 wall dock that needs to be professionally installed, but at least now you’ve got the option to centralize your home music collection around a single iPod, if that sounds like a good idea to you.
