We’re officially under a week away from the Big Game. You know exactly which one I mean. The one I’m apparently not supposed to name outright for copyright reasons. Bad Bunny will be there. If you’re hosting friends and family to watch him perform halfway through while drinking brewskies and poppin’ jalapeño poppers, it might be time to give your living room TV an upgrade. Sony is currently knocking as much as $1,002 off one of its flagship Mini LED TVs.

The Sony BRAVIA 5 comes in five different sizes, three of which are on sale. The 65-inch has come down by $501, a 33% discount that brings the price down from $1,499 to just $998. Moving on up, the 85-inch is down 29%. That brings the price down by $702, from $2,400 to just $1,698. Then the outrageously massive 98-inch model which normally goes for $5,000, has come down $1,002 to just $3,998.

This smart TV powered by mini LEDs is capable of super strong brightness and contrast. Thousands of little LEDs are precisely and individually controlled. with the help of Sony’s XR Backlight Master Drive. Colors are also accurate to real life with Triluminos Pro.

As a Google smart TV, the Sony BRAVIA can give you access to all of your favorite streaming apps. Download Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, and all the other stuff so you can keep up with new movies and shows.

The remote is also equipped with Google Assistant, so you can simply use your voice to search up titles of TV shows or films. It’s far easier to speak the words, “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon,” then is is to type that out on your TV’s soft keypad.

Perfect for PS5

This Sony BRAVIA TV has some extra features that can enhance your experience with you PlayStation 5. Auto HDR Tone Mapping along with Auto Genre Picture Mode can optimize your picture quality whether you’re gaming or streaming on your PS5. All these settings are conveniently found in the Game Menu for further customization.

For built-in speakers, the Sony BRAVIA 5 has pretty impressive sound. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to bring you cinema-like quality audio to your own living room.

Sony also advertises its blur-free action with XR Motion Clarity. This is that thing that makes all movies and shows look like they’re soap operas, by artificially inserting additional augmented frames into what you’re viewing. Generally, you’ll have a better time turning this off, but in some cases it can improve the experience. Particularly, when watching sports, it can help you keep a clearer eye on the ball or puck as it zips across the screen.
