Sony has released their latest model in the Cyber-shot T-series, the Cyber-shot DSC-T5. It’s available in four eye-catching “autumnal” colors; red, black, silver, and champagne gold (oooh, fancy). As with other T cameras, the DSC-T5 has Carl Zeiss optics with 3x optical zoom, a 2.5″ LCD, 5.1 megapixels, and 32 MB of internal memory, with a Memory Stick slot for extra storage. Its vertical design features a matte lens cover that slides down for instant power-up, like that of the T1. It comes with ten pre-set picture modes, and supposedly has longer battery life than its predecessors (up to 240 shots per charge). Packed along with an adequate video recorder (up to 640×480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second), this slim and pretty camera looks set to impress. Now if we could only get over the highly proprietary Memory Stick format.

The Cyber-shot DSC-T5 will go for around $350. The silver model will be available in September, the other colors will debut in October.
