Sony Cybershot DSC-P150 Lenses

Reading time 1 minute

You know, I don’t know why it’s legal for id to release Doom 3 during the workweek. Some of us have to get up, you know?

Anyway, I was looking at the Sony Cybershot DSC-P150 — the new one with a 7.2-megapixel resolutions; we mentioned it a couple weeks ago — and just noticed for the first time that you can replace the lenses on this model. I don’t know if that’s a new thing for this body of Cybershot, but either way it’s pretty great. The P150 just went from ‘considering’ to ‘probably’ on my personal buy list (I’m in the market for a camera).

Sorry the picture is so small. Apparently Sony isn’t as proud of their lens as I am.

Update: Reader Chris Reinhardt points out these lenses likely just screw on over the existing lens. Better than nothing, I guess.

Update update: Okay, here are the actual lenses. We had to go to Canada to get them. (Thanks, Ray!)
