Sony Ericsson announced the Z500a GSM camera phone today, featuring multi-flavor SMS, EMS, and MMS messaging, as well as support for EDGE. The Z500a is Sony Ericsson’s first EDGE-enabled phone, too, which is maybe a wee bit surprising. It’s not a super-phone like some of its higher-numbered brethren, though, with just a VGA camera and 65k color screen. But hey, new phone.
